We were blown away by the performance capabilities of the Wedge. The board feels a lot smaller and compact than the specifications make it out to be and this is because of the pulled in tail, consistent rocker line, bottom contours and the thinner rail profile. The Wedge could well be a SUP surfing quiver killer for beginner to intermediate SUP surfers.

This 92 Wedge demonstrates the best hiding of volume weve yet experienced, both on sight and on the water. In surf with some energy, the easy take-off gives way to a smooth, rail-engaged bottom turn happily free from the clatter and excess speed that trouble some wider surf shapes. The tail response is light and the Wedge responds like a board 20 litres smaller. This board is a wave-burglar without equal. If high wave count, time on the wave and fool-proof stability in a board that behaves as a surfboard should are what youre looking for, the Wedge is it.

NARROW NOSE OUTLINE

The narrow nose outline helps you generate speed, limits the nose from catching through turns and fits in tighter pockets in the wave.

LOW NOSE ROCKER

Helps get into waves easily and early.

THIN RAIL PROFILE

Thinner rails on the 87 and 92 gives the Wedge its pro level performance with faster surfing speeds, better grip, and turning capabilities. The thinner rails are inspired by the much loved Longboard range for the ultra-responsive and reactive feel.

MONO CONCAVE

Generates lift, drive and speed as it channels the water from nose to tail, through to double concave for sensitive rail to rail turning from the midpoint, through to vee tail for reactive pivot turning on the tail.

ROUNDED PIN TAIL

The Wedge has a new rounded pin tail to maximize the turning ability in these wider models. The pin tail makes it easier to engage and sink the tail for faster bottom turns and top turns with more drive. Rounded tail also gives the board a better drive out of the turns.

FIN SET UP

Thruster fin setup provides comfortable straight line tracking on flat and gives drive and control in surf.

87 & 80 features both thruster and quad. Quad fin set up uses 4 side fins and gives fast acceleration and instant down the line speed as it does not have a drag from the larger centre fin.

FIN SUPPLY

Blue Carbon comes with Prepreg Carbon fins.

Starlite and Limited Series come with Armacore center fin and Net Positive side fins.

80 x 32 Starlite and Limited Series come with Armacore fins.

NEWBOARD SOCK

Reduces paper waste while protecting your board from dust, scratches, and UV damage. Made with stretchable polyester, it fits various board shapes. Ensure optimal board maintenance with the iconic blue Board Sock, featuring a secure drawstring closure.

THE STRONGEST RAIL EVER TESTED

Ultra-durable, scratch and impact resistant woven 200g twill azure rail protection.

The combination of twin T-stringers deck and bottom to protect against total breakage. The T-stringers are positioned close to the rail working like an i-beam to endure heavy drops and strong wipeouts.

Starlite now features a full deck of 0.6mm Australian pine wood which is sandwiched between 2 glass outer skins, increasing the overall total breakage strength and reducing the weight due to lower resin absorption.
