The Fish has all the usual features you would expect in this style of board.It has a low entry rocker to help catch waves and hold your speed when up and riding, there’s enough rocker through the nose to stop the rail catching and enough through the tail to keep the board loose enough to turn. the medium rail profile gives it a responsive feel which really helps with progression. It’s an easy surfing fun shape that will work in thigh to a little overhead waves and depending on how you size it will suit any ability level. This board is a great step on from a bigger board, or foamie to get you to the next level.
Not only do the Cortez surfboards look great but they are constructed using a Three Phase Epoxy which is significantly stronger and more durable than a traditional PU Fibreglass surfboard. Just like a high-end PU surfboard, the Cortez Fish has a composite stringer that runs the entire length of the board giving it rigidity and the springy feeling that many starter boards lack.
