THE DYNAMOs Original concept came from Vance Burrows around 2000. He wanted something with the paddle power of his longboard with the performance of a shortboard. So we essentially took a 9 longboard and chopped 2 feet out of the middle.

We made it, he loved it and so has everyone since. Get in early with amazing paddle power and still hook some decent turns.

A good all round board for softer fast waves, great paddle power and carry. If you have a carvy style and dont like flicking your board around, it’s perfect. It likes to be surfed with the emphasis on drawn arcs and power surfing. One aspect we never thought about when it was designed, is that its actually a great board for big airs, the amount of nose area allows it to sail into the wind with a cross onshore.
